High Performance Spring Kits

Spring kits are essential for high lift cams and high RPM. Spring kits are also absurdly expensive. I look for alternatives. Kibblewhite has springs good to .560' lift, but no appropriate retainers. I look at automotive solutions. I see double springs with titanium retainers in sets of 16 for four hundred dollars. Dimensions are usually not given, but I see installed heights and seat pressures that are close to what's needed.

I could go so far as to install guides, run automotive valves, springs, retainers, and keepers and still pay less than what the R/D sets go for. I'll keep you informed
